Hey guys! I hope this post finds everyone doing well! I just wanted to give you all a little update (maybe not so little :-p) on what is going on in the Vintage Life world! So as you all know I took a bit of a hiatus from A Vintage Life at the beginning of the year, for several reasons, especially finding out I was having a baby and moving to a new house! Fast forward to the present and baby is here and as adorable as ever! AND for those of you who don't know, my day job has been as an elementary teacher for the past 12 years; however, my husband and I have decided that I will be staying home with our munchkin for now! I am super excited about this opportunity! I will miss my kiddos and teaching, but I am very thankful to get this time with my baby girl! Not to mention it allows me more time to work on my vintage passion!
Some of you may know I started a new Facebook page called @avintageabode (which I mentioned in a previous post that I would be doing) where I feature homes (in the Fayetteville, NC area, as well as around the U.S.) that were built in or before the 1950's. I have a lot of fun reading about and sharing the unique qualities and stories of these old homes!
I am still doing the Vintage Life t-shirts, and am now looking for a website where I can design baseball caps with my logo (if anyone knows of a place, please let me know! :).
When it comes to the vintage merchandise I am thinking of doing a live vintage sale from my garage to clear out old inventory and make room for some new pieces! I would like to start fresh and focus on a few pieces at a time from now on!
The next two adventures I would like to embark on with A Vintage Life include starting a blog called Vintage and a Baby
:-p Where I would post photos, videos and stories about my adventures of continuing to build this business with this little energetic bundle of joy around! :) It would include trips to antique stores/malls/fairs, projects, decorating/design, and anything my readers want to hear about!
And lastly, but most certainly not least! I would like to start an interior design portion of the business. This would entail coming to client's houses, helping them decide which style best suits them, creating a plan for redecorating/redesigning a certain space in their home or office, and then bringing that space to life!
So! Lots of exciting things going on! I hope you all will stick around on this vintage adventure! Have a great day!
